Overview

We are on the lookout for an ambitious and experienced Senior Business Development Manager

Someone to lead on generating new business, seeking out new clients, securing new business and building strong client relationships. You will champion growth of a creative agency, driving the agency forward and broadening its footprint in the creative landscape. You will support on the strategic development and planning for new and existing business opportunities, by collaborating with business leads, creatives, marketing, operations and production.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience and a strong understanding of business development and production best practices, with a desire to take on new challenges and do things differently. You’ll be focused on unlocking new opportunities, building close relationships with both new and existing clients, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Network

  • Actively seek out, suggest and secure new business opportunities, reach out to brands and partners with a view to setting up introductions
  • Represent the business externally, coordinate and take the lead on setting up new business meetings and conversations, presenting Anyways creds confidently
  • Nurture and grow new and existing relationships to ensure future business stability
  • Work closely with project teams to support on managing and maximising our key accounts and making the most of all potential opportunities
  • Attend industry events, network and start new relationships with future brands and clients

Strategy

  • Work closely with Senior team members to define and develop ongoing new business strategy and deliver on this
  • Bring compelling new points of view and ideas on how to shape and improve business development at Anyways, and drive these improvements forward
  • Recognise emerging strategies, trends, and pitfalls and develop plans accordingly

Delivery

  • Have a thorough knowledge of the sales & production process, as well as the industry in general
  • Lead and manage the completion of the new business process from request for information through to final pitch stage
  • Seek out, vet and understand new opportunities. Synthesise the ask and dispel information for coordination with the necessary team members, with the proven ability to quickly ballpark budgets across a range of creative disciplines as needed
  • Create and coordinate personalised proposals for clients to effectively communicate the Anyways Creative offering, with assistance from necessary teams
  • Responsible for the success and maintenance of new business pipeline through continued conversations and lead generation. Manage, maintain and track the new business contacts through our database HubSpot

About You

  • Proven experience working in a similar role generating new business, with a network of contacts
  • Experience working in the creative industry, ideally working within a creative agency
  • Exceptional communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening with both clients, internal teams, and external collaborators. Be collaborative, showcasing exceptional people skills
  • Strong presentation skills in order to represent the agency in new business meetings. They’ll look to you to be an informed and passionate voice.
  • Always strive for the highest level of output through execution and craft. Highly organised, proactive and quick to respond to the timescales provided by prospective clients
  • A strong understanding of the creative industry and project process, and an ability to interrogate both in conversations with clients and internal teams
  • Maintain a solutions-oriented perspective and recognise that very little is “impossible”
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with a passion for building relationships and an interest in creative services
  • Be future-minded towards the growth of the company
