IT Account Manager

As an IT Account Manager, no one day will be the same, but some of your key responsibilities will be:

​

  • Solutions sold to a growing account of 2.5k are not limited to IT/Connectivity, Cyber security, 

  • Proactively identifying and pursuing new business opportunities with the client base.

  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships to drive customer retention and revenue growth.

  • Understanding client needs to recommend solutions that align with their business goals.

  • Managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and presenting to negotiating and closing deals.

  • Collaborating with marketing and service delivery teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.

  • Staying updated on industry trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.

  • Accurately tracking and reporting on sales activities and pipeline progress.

  • To succeed in this role, you must have at least 5 years experience of sales or account management within the managed services industry. A consultative approach to sales and strong interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build lasting client relationships. A solid understanding of contracts, recurring revenue models, and delivering value through tailored IT solutions is crucial. We are looking for someone who thrives in a smaller business environment, where resourcefulness and independence are key.

  • Candidates should have a hands-on, pragmatic approach and the ability to navigate challenges without relying on extensive support structures. Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Autotask, Kaseya, Ability, and other quoting platforms is required. Self-motivation, resilience, and a results-driven mindset are essential for this role.

 

Salary And Benefits

The salary for this role is dependent on your previous experience but ranges from £40,000 to £60,000 per year, with uncapped commission. This is a hybrid role with flexibility to work from our offices and remotely; however you will be expected to travel to customer sites on scheduled meetings.
